3. Also, when you fill up on juice, you aren't hydrating yourself properly. People who drink a lot of juice tend not to drink as much water because they don't feel thirsty, and the juice bloats them up so drinking water seems superfluous.

The truth is, though, that your body needs water to burn fat. Why? Because your all your body's processes depends on having enough water. Water's kind of like our body's motor oil. It keeps all the parts running.

When you're dehydrated, your body goes into crisis mode. The dehydrated is a priority it must deal with, so it stops doing other things, like burning fat.

So if you weight 200 pounds, you need 100 ounces, which is 12 ½ glasses of water.
